About Sam

Creating with fabric has been Sam's passion since really young, and she was able to add to her skills by studying at the Haute Couture School of Fashion Design, Cape Town. Sam left her career in accounts and opened her small bridal studio in 2005 so as to focus her attention on Wedding Couture.

Sam enjoys working with a variety of bridal fabrics and loves textured fabric with a life of its own. She creates beautiful, one-off gowns, adding subtle details to simple designs brought to life with luxurious fabrics. 

Along with the relaxed atmosphere in the studio, Sam's easy going and friendly nature makes it easy for brides to share their ideas, hopes and dreams. And, her passion for her work ensures that no effort is too great in creating the perfect gown. The years have been filled with love and laughter and Sam really enjoys the time spent with 'her' brides, feeling privileged to be a part of such a special time in soo many brides' lives. 

The purpose of this blog is to store some of Sam's precious memories. In addition to posts of Real Brides, she intends to share various bridal trends, both local and international, some DIY inspiration and showcase her range of ready-to-wear garments and accessories.

Sam is happy to meet with potential clients at her studio in Claremont, Cape Town (by appointment only, please) and is also happy to provide cost estimates and recommendations via email, where possible.
